Are you ready to design your dream home your way! Get started with EMCO INC. We can help you every step of the way. From reading blueprints to perfect quality building material. Save money, save time, avoid stress and get the job done right, with one company!
Do your homework before having work done on your home.
Use this checklist to help you select a builder or remodeler to work on or build your home.
Does the builder or remodeler have a permanent business location and a good reputation with local banks and suppliers? Yes we do! 404 Beverly Lane Jacksonville FL 32254, First Atlantic Bank, Regions Bank, Suntrust Bank, IDI Distributors, ASI, Alside, Service Partners.
How long have they been in the building business? It usually takes three to five years to establish a financially sound business. Will they be around after the construction is complete to service any warranties? Serving Northeast Florida for over 15 years! 1 year warranty on all services. After 1 year we do have a service charge to have someone come out.
Have you called your local Better Business Bureau? They can alert you to any complaints. We are A rated with only 1 complaint in 2008 which has been solved.
Does the builder/remodeler have sufficient workers compensation and general liability insurance? If not, you may be liable for any construction-related accidents on your premises. Yes we do! We are currently insured by Edison Insurance for Auto and General Liability Insurance. Our Workers Comp is covered by Convergence Employee Leasing Agency. If work is being done on your home, these are available to you upon request.
Will the builder/remodeler provide you with names of previous customers? Ask them if they would hire the builder/remodeler again. Yes, Attorney Mike Edwards (New Roof), Homeowner Glen & Judy McKendree (Screenroom), Marlene & Stephen Griffin (Seamless Gutters), and many more with contact number upon request.
Have you seen the builder/remodelers work, both completed and in progress? Check for quality of workmanship and materials. We have pictures on this website, as well as model homes to show you. If requested in advance we can meet or take you to a current onsite job.
Are you able to communicate with the builder/remodeler? Remember you will be in close contact with them throughout the construction process and afterward as you live in your new home. Yes! Each customer will be given a Managers cell number as well as the office number, fax, and our office locations address.
Will the builder/remodeler provide you with a complete and clearly written contract? The contract will benefit both of you. Review it carefully. Yes, this will be the very first thing you will receive. At first the contract is just an estimate (which is free) of what the job will cost. We hold this on file for up to 6 months. Then when you and the owner or manager sign the estimate it becomes a contract.
Be cautious of unusually low-priced bids. If the builder/remodeler is unable to pay for the materials and labor as the project proceeds, this may indicate a potential problem. We at EMCO try to have the lowest price in Northeast Florida and WE WILL BEAT any competitors price! HOW? For one we have the BEST QUALITY material that we back 100%, and its already stocked in our warehouse. Second we pay COD on ALL new material purchased.

We can even build your pet a new home!
